Good printer
I'm old, so I still needed a bit of support from my son to get the thing online. And because printers are hard to come by immediately, I had to choose one with a fax I won't be using. However, all that said, the machine just zips along and does what I ask. So, am pleased.

Very happy with the printer. It took me a while to figure out how to print wirelessly over Wi-Fi. I think the documentation could have been better. It was actually very easy but, I didn't understand how at first. The printer is fast and scanning is a breeze, especially with the ControlCenter 4 software provided. It replaced an older Brother (USB only). I've thought about replacing it years ago but, like the Energizer Bunny, it just kept going and going. I expect this one will also.

New Brother Laser Printer
Well first I seem to trust the Brother brand. This is my 3rd replacement for our business, and I also have personal Brother printers at home. Quality, price and reliability is why I purchase Brother.

A+ machine
A+ machine does all I want it to do. Easy setup is a definite plus.

Its a good printer. It takes quite a few seconds to print but it will do. Also, it does not print dual sided which I failed to notice when purchased. Overall good buy.

Besides all the rest of the goodies it does two sided document scanning as well.
Initially when replacing my old Brother laser printer I initially thought about replacing it with just another Brother laser printer and calling it a day. After all I already have a flatbed scanner. However after thinking about, it for a while I decided I might as well get a MFC as I figured that would not only give me a backup scanner for my older flatbed scanner just in case and it would give me faxing capabilities if I ever needed it as well. I rarely ever have the need to fax but have had to from time to time and when I do it's such a pain having to find one that I have to borrow.
To my great surprise this not only gave me an ADF which my flatbed scanner simply does not have but it also gave me the capability of scanning both sides of the documents using the ADF as well which I didn't anticipate. As it turns out this is one of the Brother MFCs capable of scanning both sides of the document automatically with it's ADF. Buying a MFC in this class was almost worth it alone because of this capability. Where scanning documents used to be a chore with the flatbed scanner scanning documents is extremely easy with this MFC because of the ADF and two sided scanning. Where I used to put this chore off until I had a stack of documents I could no longer avoid, they get done as they arrive now because it's extremely easy.
It wasn't a bonus I anticipated and frankly I don't understand why Brother or Amazon doesn't make a bigger deal about this feature in their advertisement. In fact they don't really spend any time on it in their user manual. But the software that comes with the machine makes it rather easy to configure as long as 2 sided scanning is chosen.
