Conventient features I needed to replace a 9 year old Cannon laser printer that began to suffer frequent paper jams, despite attempts to repair it. I have had this printer for a week, but I have used most of the features without difficulty. It works with several computers on my W-Fi network, as well as my iPhone. The duplex scanning through the document feeder is convenient. I also printed golf scorecards on card stock easily. The noise of printing is not excessive. I am happy with it so far.
Fabulous printer! I did quite a bit of research on printers and finally chose the Brother MFC-L2740DW. I absolutely love this printer. To begin with, let me give you some of the requirements I had: (1) Home/Personal use - I think this might still be great in a small office though. (2) Wireless - I didn't want to bother trying to connect via a cable to the printer (3) BW vs Color - I decided that if I really wanted to print in color, I could take it to a real printer shop! Very nice printer Works well. Only complaint is the noise as it warms up, and also seems to take a large start-up current, as the UPS device I have it plugged into blinks.
Highly recommended I like Brother printers ... they are priced right ... hold up ... and even if they crash completely ... they are not outrageous to replace ... as some of the big name printers that we have had in the office.

This is one of the best printers I have ever owned This is one of the best printers I have ever owned. The B&W toner is a lot easier on your pocketbook than the color carriages of a color inkjet printer. The customer support group at Brothers is one of the best I have seen in a long time.
