The price was reasonable that's within my budget. Overall, I was not happy with the place. Took my wife out in 2 months. Not recommend! The housekeeper kept removing things from the room without my permission, didn't periodically check if restroom was clean, and didn't speak English.

Business response:

We know that people have many choices when looking for a senior living community to call home. We apologize if our community was not a good fit for you. We wish you and your wife the best of luck in your new home.

My loved one didn't get the care they needed. I was told they could handle them, but after a while they were constantly complaining about the trouble my loved one was causing them. If your loved one is low maintenance, then this place is great, but if they are high maintenance then this place is not for them.

Housekeeping could be better and he kept taking things out of our room without permission. The staff need better training. They also needs someone who understands English better.

The main issue I have is the staffing levels. Honestly I think the staff is very caring & loving but there is just not enough of them to help all the residents. This has been since my loved one has moved in. The management is aware and admits to me the problem, but still has done very little to correct the situation. I understand it can be hard to find help but this problem has gone on for so long I am starting to think they are gaslighting me.

Appearances and money making is this facility's only priority. They will bait and switch you after paying $10k to take care of your loved one. They go so far as to break CA licensing regulations to wrongfully evict when a resident or family member doesn't fit their mold and/or asks too many questions. The current executive director of this facility is dangerous. She yells and barks at her staff who are coached not to answer questions, play dumb about chain of command, and literally ”hide" her. She is aggressive, hostile, and... read more

No...there are good staff here and it's clean but not enough staff, high turnover, multiple issues. A few families have recently taken their loved ones out. Check with San Mateo County Health and Human Services/Omsbudsman.
