When I toured this facility, I found it to be quite nice. However, we did not choose this location because it was a bit bigger and impersonal.
I will say it still a work in progress for us here at this community. My mother is doing well, but we have had some issues. They have made changes in her medications, without my knowledge. These changes have sent her to the hospital. Hopefully things will move in a positive direction for us here at this community.
I like this community for the care for my father. He likes the staff that are very caring. My father is not happy with the meals and they could use some small improvements.. They are offering him activities, but he said that they are more for woman and at this time he does not want to participate. They could offer more activities that are for men as well as women. The staff here has been super nice and easy going. In general the community is well kept and clean. The wellness nurse is really good about keeping me in the loop about my loved ones progression and needs. I would recommend them to my friends and family.
The staff that offered the tour at Brookdale Friendswood were very friendly and knowledgeable. The community was an older building and was not as well kept as others we had viewed. We did not like the style of semi private rooms. They had a curtain to separate the beds. In another community we found semi private where the bathroom separated the room making it feel more private.
Everything that I have seen so far with Brookdale Friendswood has been very good. They take very good care of my mother and stay very much on top of everything. They got a very good understanding of my mother and her background to get to know her and hold a valuable conversation with her. It has been a really good experience and I would recommend them.
Brookdale Friendswood has been a good fit for mom. I like the staff and they are very attentive. They are great with the care they provide. Overall it has been a good fit for us. The only thing I would say is that mom has not connected well with the other residents. I would really like to see the staff work with the residents in fostering friendships with everyone especially new ones coming in. Other than that I am really pleased with everything here.
Very nice place. A little higher priced than we can afford. The staff was very nice and the rooms were nice also. Overall would certainly pick this place if price was a little more competitive.
Our loved one was only here for a short time. While he was here he was very pleased with what they did here. He said it was beautiful there. The first night we came the food was good, but maybe not as great on a daily basis. The dining room was really nice too. He liked that kids could come and visit. We felt it was very well run, and always clean. They had an ambassador a resident who already lives there, to kind of take him around and help him get settled.
