Please understand that I had no problem with Nav Thakur. What were a problem were the absolutely ridiculous processes of qualifying for our loan even while my husband and I have investments that are well in advance of what is required. We don’t spend our money frivolously and our monthly expenses are paid each full each month and have been for years. Whoever is in charge of qualifying us almost lost us as a customer as we were prepared to simply pay cash and forget about getting a mortgage. We trusted Nav to get this done an... read more

Things got confusing a couple of times during the process. I was getting duplicate emails that brought into question whether I had successfully completed what I needed to do. My sales agent was able to Fix it is same.

Could Not recontact 1st Rep I spoke to. 2n Rep "Renu" cost me Money, thousands from a Disabled person at that, asked me to increase credit score by paying off Credit cards. Where I could have just bought points with that cash. 3d Rep ,Nav ,could Not dispute the low valued appraisal and could not use the current interest rate at time the final paperwork was written,which was lower than when I originally began.

While Nav was very personable and knowledgeable, I felt that The Mutual of Omaha experience was disorganized. After sending in 250 pages of documents, I continued to receive requests for more, and I know many of them had already been provided. I wondered if anyone actually looked through what I had provided. Also the whole experience took longer than originally quoted and it seemed like everything was a last minute scramble. We are happy that we did close the loan at a very competitive rate.
