Another great Cunningham group restaurant. We came for the opening night on a whim. Very much a foodie place. Very forward Italian. So if you want spaghetti and meatballs you are in the wrong place. Service was on point as were the drinks and the wine selection. Even though it was the first night the waiter could describe the dishes as well as the wine list. My wife and I will be back with friends
Food was tasty, but very very small portions. I would have needed to order 4 courses to have enough food to not leave hungry. decent ambiance, the booth style chairs in the front dining room are a nice touch. Outdoor dining will likely be nice, too, once it’s finished. Eclectic wine list, albeit not my favorite. Server was not knowledgeable about wines by the glass, but recommended menu items. Another home run at the Cunningham Group. The highest levels of food and service come together to offer perfection in authentic Italian dining. At Vida you are transformed to downtown Paris. Nesso could be in the heart of Rome! This group has totally transformed dining in Indianapolis! It’s not LA, Chicago or Manhattan but we are getting closer thanks to Mike Cunningham and his extraordinary Chefs.
We went opening night. Typically there are many more kinks to work out. But, the soft openings must have served them well because I didn't witness any of the standard hiccups you experience at a grand opening. Food was delicious. Service was good. They did a great job converting the old Cereleum space. However, the ambiance isn't what I'd call romantic. Certainly, a great place to go with friends or family and enjoy a wonderful meal.
We dined at Nesso the first night they were truly open for reservations and had a marvelous time. Cocktails were well made and the bartenders were all friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. Our server was professional and clearly knew about all the dishes. Every item we ordered was beautifully presented, fresh-tasting and had complex flavors -- and each was delicious. We are thrilled with this addition to the city's restaurant scene.
Quite disappointing service and mediocre food on this visit. Ambiance and drinks great. Hopefully they get it together.

The service was fantastic first of all. I was dining with a large party of about 9 people and besides an empty water glass that stood too long it was great. My biggest issue was the food. I think we had about a 50/50 split on food opinions. Some folks loved their dishes and others were so so. My biggest issue was with my seafood pasta dish. The scallop that was placed on top was cooked so poorly that it was like biting into a rubber band and there was grit to it, like sand. The server was great! The food was not what we expected it was kind of bland needed salt. I am disappointed because of the high reviews that said this place was great. The food just didn’t match it.
