My family went on an afternoon trip on Madeleine last weekend and we loved our trip. The views were wonderful and we got to see many things from a different point of view! Teddy, Melissa, and Dave took us out and they were awesome ! We would definitely go back to go on the Rum Runner.
We did the Champagne Sunset Cruise on the Madeline and it was fun! We had some really good views of the sunset and we went pretty far along the coast. The employees were friendly and had some good banter amongst themselves and the other boats. The champagne was pretty good as well. Overall I'd definitely recommend giving it a try and I don't think you'll be disappointed. This was an awesome cruise! The crew was absolutely fantastic and our captain was phenomenal! Such beautiful sights and perfect day! So so much fun!
If I had a chance i wouldnt even give 1star. We made our reservation couple weeks ago. And the day we suppose to have the sunset cruise we called them in the morning to see how is their departure procedure. They told us to come 30mins early from our departure time. Which is understandable. Our reservation was at 5.30pm so we supposed to be there 5pm. We did the Sunset Sail on the Madeleine, it was beautiful! The boat crew is extremely friendly (It was one of the members birthdays also, he was such a great spirit!), the champagne and beer keep on coming, and the ride is smooth and a beautiful tour of Newport Harbor! We went on this sail two years in a row now and we will definitely keep coming back!
Excellent crew...super friendly and engaging. Loved them all! The sailing was lovely.... a great memory of Newport!
Our family including grandma and our two children ages 7, 9 had a wonderful early afternoon trip aboard the Madeleine. There is an big area of the boat with benches slightly below deck so if you have small children it keeps them safely seated with no worries. The crew was friendly and informative regarding local sites and history, a great perspective of Newport. 90 minutes was perfect amount of time for us on the water, I had no issues with seasickness. I am sure if you get on the boat you booked, it is a lovely tour, but you better make sure the employees are competent enough not to book you on a different boat than you asked for. Our group of five took a 90 min. tour on the Madeline at 10:30 this morning. We sat near the back of the sailboat with Captain Dave navigating. Also attending were Tebow and Kat. They provided narration at the front of the boat and when we asked Dave if they could use a mic so we could hear he said 'no, this is what I'm here for'.
