My girlfriend and I came for the Chef Week fixed menu. They had the option for 8 or 10 dishes but we stuck to the former option. Everything was delicious, but we unfortunately got full a little too early into the meal. Portions were great for the two of us and everything was as aesthetically pleasing as it was delicious. The staff was very courteous and stayed on top of even smaller tasks such as removing dishes and refilling water despite a relatively full restaurant. The meal definitely warranted a return trip. Cozy. Excellent tapas. Some hits - potatoes, mahi. Some misses - orzo, Greek red. Delicious Pernod. A bit pricey.
Recently tried the tasting menu, and was happy with every single selection (of which there were a generous 8 for $33 per person). The menu offers a variety of Mediterranean- inspired dishes, all well-prepared. Nia does not seem to be trying to invent new dishes, but it certainly prepares a number of standards very well.
Mediterranean tapas?! Ummm...yes please! This intimate little spot really hits the spot. The food is AMAZING. Seriously. The plates just kept getting better the more they brought out. The Nia salad, gnocchi, goat cheese, spinach rolls, grilled asparagus, crab cakes...we had to stop ourselves before we ordered so much they'd run out. The service was exceptional. It was the perfect place to have my birthday dinner with my gals. Larger groups should make a reservation.
Everything was great about this restaurant from the food, the service, and ambiance. If you like Mediterranean food our would like to try it I would recommend nia.
Our group of 4 tried several tapas at Nia, and each one was great. The lamb meat balls, chicken skewer, and crab cakes were all delicious. We also enjoyed the beet salad and burrata plate. Serving size was decent for the price. The citrus olives were outstanding. We also enjoyed the ambience, modern yet warm décor. We went on a Monday evening before a concert at City Winery, and the room noise was pretty quiet so we could enjoy conversation without losing our voices. The only downside is the pricing for a glass of wine; I'm ... read more
Always like to take my suburban friends to my neighborhood favorites and Nia is one of these. The three of us went on an early Sunday evening and shared four items plus dessert from the extensive small plate menu. This time we went with the grilled baby octopus, the orzo shrimp salad, gnocchi in sage brown butter, the wild mushrooms and finished with the Tiramisu. We enjoyed them all. The portions vary in size so it is wise to ask the server about the items you are interested in. There is a small selection of bottled beer, w... read more
Very quaint restaurant with good Mediterranean food. Good place to get a nice meal.
My wife and I got to this restaurant earlier than when most people, i.e., younger people dine @ 5:30 p.m. We were treated like royalty. The food was very good, to our tastes. The wines that we drank were excellent and not overpriced. We would definitely go back a second time.
