I am a vet nurse who lives in the area. I work at a specialty clinic, so it is usually easier for me to take my pets to a general practice for vaccines, preventatives, etc. I learned my lesson on that. It is disappointing to be treated poorly by another vet clinic. I am understanding of a lot, due to my personal experience in such a difficult field, but felt the need to write a review since I am still suffering the costs of my visit here. I had taken in four stray kittens that someone dumped at the clinic that I work at a... read more
I want all of you to know that I do appreciate the time you took to try and save our Bailey. However I can't accept the fact that the two people that should have been with her in that room was me and Joey. We took her there in the hopes that she would get the care she needed and that we would be with her the entire time. None of you knew her the way that we did. She needed us and you wouldn't let us be there. I know that things happened very quickly but when I asked actually begged to be allowed to be with my dog when she ... read more
Business response:
We are so sorry for the loss of your sweet Bailey. Due to the sensitive nature of this situation, we are going to reach out to you via phone so we can address everything with you in detail.
I brought my 15 year 8 month old bichon to North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital to talk with Dr. Lisa Bancroft. I told her my dog stopped eating and didn't want to get out of bed. I told Dr. Bancroft she had lost 2 pounds in two months. I told the doctor I believe the dog is dying and I was ok with putting her down, she had a long life. I told her to be up front w/ me so I don't make a mistake with her passing. We did blood work and her kidney values were through the roof along with several other things. Dr. Bancroft spoke with... read more
Business response:
First, we are so sorry about your loss of dear Callie. It is devastating to lose a beloved pet, and we know you loved her very much. Contrary to your web search and the misinformed opinion of the other doctor, compassionate rehydration of kidney patients carries only minimal risks and often delivers excellent results. I remember that you and your brother seemed conflicted about whether or not to proceed with treatment, but we all agreed to give it a try after a lengthy consultation. We also agreed to keep the expenses as... read more
Saddens me to write this post but I am hoping to help avoid others being put in my position of sadness and loss of a pet. We used Dr. K as our vet for 10 years for our 3 wiener dogs. Our dogs are our babies and so sad I trusted him to care for our pets in the last few months. We ended up having to euthanize our one dog after an exploratory procedure under anesthesia went bad. This vet ended up rupturing my dogs ear drum attempting a biopsy and then causing a massive ear infection that quickly spread to his brain. I called th... read more
Do not go to Dedria Davis. She is new and we brought our 2 month old Goldendoodle to her. She is so new that she did not know what she was doing. If you go to these people, ask for an experienced person. I am so disappointed and upset with her and this veterinarian practice. That they would let someone so new make life threatening decisions and do surgery and not know what the path reports are or mean. Leaving us asking, why did we come to them in the first place. We are definitely going to see another vet with more experie... read more
Very disappointed! Besides being Expensive we found our dr. to be rude. As a first time pet owner, we felt the dr was not understanding or helpful. Had to pay an additional dr. fee for an appt for a complication from a surgery performed days prior. Provided only enough medication for pet that fit in our budget, but neglected to tell us that ... therefore our pet was made to suffer in unnecessary pain. (which we never would've done) We would not recommend this practice based on our experience.
My first two experiences here were great. Everyone was friendly, happy, pleasant, yada yada yada... My third experience - brought my dog in to see if he needed stitches on his paw pad, was told that he didn't, and was charged $62. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? The second time I brought my dog in they actually did something to help him and it was FREE! In what dimension does this even make sense? I'm sure that I won't be back.
They have way too many employees wandering around and jacked their prices sky high to pay for the new addition and cover overhead. It's too bad because some of the vet's are pretty good.
