We first visited NMAH when our 13 year old Lab injured her foot on a Saturday earlier this spring. I was impressed from the first phone call - the receptionist I spoke with was calm and organized, telling me that she would get my dog's records from her primary vet, and describing the plan for when we arrived. I have no questions when I walk through those doors that the staff with take care of my doxie who is 17 now and my labradoodle Gus who is 4. We have had some big things come up for the "old dog" but Dr. Kritzinger has always been kind and fair. The patience and calmness in this building is very welcoming, You will have only a great experience.

My husband and I have used this clinic for our pet dogs for about 20 years. We are 100 percent confident in our vet dr James. He has shown time and time again to be very knowledgeable and compassionate. On occasion we have needed to seek care from one of his colleagues which have also been great. Dr James is the best!

I can't say enough about this place. My dog was diagnosed with diabetes and pancreatitis at another vet and was not much help with answers. I took him to Dr. K who provided excellent care and even provided his cell phone number for me to keep him updated on Eddie's progress while he was out of the state... unfortunately Eddies issues were worse than we expected and we made a decision that his quality of life was not what it should be. There is no better place to take your pet! Dr. Kritzinger and all of the team are the best in the business. Dr. Kritzinger truly cares for my pets (3 dogs, 1 cat) like they were his own and he has saved their lives multiple times with his excellent care. He caught issues ahead of time and was able to reverse terminal situations. My 19.5 year old cat owes his life to Dr.K and his close monitoring of his health and life-saving surgery. I needed a vet who had longer than normal hours. I needed a vet who would be thorough and compassionate. I needed a vet with boarding available. I found this combination at North Mecklenburg Animal Hospital. They are AMAZING!! My cat loves them! We must visit often due to a chronic condition and ongoing treatment. I know that we will be treated with care and respect. Worth my time, effort and funds to come here.

My husband and I are beyond impressed with NMAH. We brought in our dog who was having difficulty walking and standing up. From our checkin to our checkout we received nothing but the best care. Dr Madison Voigt gave our 8 month old German Shepherd mix Cali a very extensive examination. She was careful, thoughtful, and gentle with her. I was introduced to Dr Lydolph through a referall from a friend when my pet tore her acl and needed ttl surgery. Dr. Lydolph was amazing and my pup has done well even years later. We continue to see her and have appreciated her care and expertise. Fast forward to a few weeks ago my pup collapsed and I rushed her in right when they opened. During the most difficult time for my family this past Saturday, Dr. Mauer took such good care of our family dog of 13 years as we had to say goodbye to her. The location was so very professional as well as so kind to all of us. They at no time tried to sell us on any services. They really took our feelings into consideration. We were so sad to have to put our girl down but was so grateful for how it was handled. Dr. Mauer gave use as much time as we need to all say goodbye. We truly are grateful and recommend it anyone.
