the center is understaffed. patients do not receive the care they need. my loved one had to be moved to Nyack hospital to die from COVID

The place is dirty. Only serve kosher food. The cleaning people do a horrible job of cleaning the bathroom , floors etc. I was worse when I came home than when I got there.
I’m a patient here since Sept, 2019, since then I’ve had 5 missed meals. Doesn’t seem like a lot, but when a regular meal isn’t that significant, missing a meal is difficult. The staff is inattentive. The facility relays on a bell system, a patient pushes a button, which alights a light out in the hallway. This is to bring a need to the staff’s attention. Recommendedl have brought my wife to Northern Riverview for long term care. I am lucky to be able to visit her almost daily. In my visits I have been impressed by the skill and caring of the professional and direct care staff. I have also been impressed with the cleanliness of the place. In the weeks that I have been there I haven't seen any evidence of any sort of pest. This in itself is remarkable. I am happy to recommend this facility.
My dad was sent here for post operative Recuperation and they were some of least professional people I’d ever seen so after my father had Esophageal cancerthey shrunk it with chemo he was doing awesome! He actually made it to remission but my sister convinced my beloved father to have this tumor removed even though he was in remission, The operation took place in good Samaritan Hospital which I don’t recommend the doctor that did the surgery that almost killed my father his name his dr goumas, steer clear of this butcher, i... read more
Very unstaffed and only nurse aide for 8 people, still waiting for her to come in so mom get get into bed! Oh and you not allowed to help them. And other nurse aide was not nice
