Northgate Lakes is a super place to live! Their staff is awesome and their community feel is great!
I think it’s ridiculous that they insist on tenants/ students use simple bills for the utilities but you then are charged a fee to join. So now $53 which could have been used for something else is wasted on a website they force you to use. We were told that the apartment would be cleaned and sanitized, well that didn’t happen. Bathroom was filthy, floors and baseboards were full of dirt and dust. Paint all over the rug in my daughters room. Towel bar keeps falling off the wall. Terrible management that doesn’t care except to make money off of students, “renovations” happened at horrible times, even cutting power and water to the apartment while students were still there. Absolutely would not recommend.

So, I’m not telling you not to live here- what I’m saying in this review is that I have… (many) problems here that you might not care or run into. If that's you- stop reading because when I write a review I write a review and I'm not stopping until the three page mark. Maintaince walks in unannounced at all hours of the day and night without an notification. Kitchen rennovation started WITHOUT having all necessary replacement pieces leaving my child with an unusable kitchen, for over 3 weeks, and living room as all the things from the kitchen cabinets are being stored in the living room. Anticipated parts for kitchen reno will not arrive for at least another 2 weeks according to management.

All 3 residents moved out in March due to covid. My daughter graduated in May so she never returned except to retrieve her belongings in June.. She lived in the apartments for 2 years. They some how managed to stay with in the alloted utility allowance every month until July 2020. During which time only ONE resident resided in the apartment. The only good thing about this place is the few people in the office that make me calm enough not to flip out on the management for fining people for no reason multiple times with no proof and no warning... They say they repave the guest lot every six months and I've lived here for two years and you've filled it with gravel once that's it.. To me repaving it means PAVEMENT aka an actual parking lot.. I am a past resident who moved out of Northgate a year and a half ago. I had a bad experience with the way things are run but thought it may have been just me, until I returned today for the first time since then. I came by today to help an old roommate and good friend move out since she too was having trouble with her living situation at Northgate Lakes. my daughter is been waiting for them to change the old rusty microwave for over a month and still not happening. the microwave have a lot of rust inside and is very dangerous for your health. they keep saying is in back order. they put new appliances but the most important is the microwave for the students to cook a quick breakfast. they do not care.
