my daughter is been waiting for them to change the old rusty microwave for over a month and still not happening. the microwave have a lot of rust inside and is very dangerous for your health. they keep saying is in back order. they put new appliances but the most important is the microwave for the students to cook a quick breakfast. they do not care.

If all of the apartment complexes in the area of UCF were parts of the human body, this one would be the butthole.

Business response:

Jonathan,We are disappointed to learn that your experience has been anything less than excellent with us. We have pulled your records, and we see that the internet is out in your building. We are working diligently to rectify this occurrence. We appreciate your feedback!

I was told I didn’t have to pay the last months rent because someone else took over my lease. Then 3 weeks later, I was told that the new renter fell through so now I owe $750! They are unfare and dishonest at northgate bewAre!!!!!

Business response:

Daidre, We are disappointed that your experience has been anything less than stellar. Rerenting is a courtesy that we provide to residents, but generally, residents are responsible for the whole lease unless otherwise stated. When someone is rerented, we let them know that they are not technically released from their contract until that new person moves in. In addition, all of this information is in the rerent form that is signed. It is ultimately the residents responsibility to make sure that they are rerented. We appreciat... read more

Thanks for turning off my water and not letting anyone know until the day of. That was great! Oh I also just love having mold still in my bathroom and construction going on all last semester and continuation of this semester as well. There was no parking for months, I had to park all the way in the back where visitors park. I can’t wait to move out of here paying $665 for a 4x2.

Business response:

Monica,We are disappointed to hear that your experience has been anything less than positive with us, as we strive to ensure that all residents are comfortable. We recently did have an emergency situation, where maintenance was needed, and we had to turn the water off. We did inform residents, but it was short notice due to being an emergency situation. We always notify our residents beforehand, when the shut off is scheduled due to maintenance. We would be happy to help with any mold that is occurring in your unit. Recently... read more

The apartment is too expensive for what you get. The apartments are still in disrepair from Hurricane Irma a half a year later. The internet is terrible and frequently crashes especially when I am working on homework. The gym has always been broken. The bus route is shared with other apartments so you have to allot 30-45 minutes of time to get to class otherwise you are late. The guest parking is unsafe and a gravel patch in the back. Frequently the lamp posts go out. College apartment living is bad but I would never recomme... read more

Business response:

Mike, we are so disappointed that your experience with us has not lived up to expectations. We truly appreciate your feedback and are constantly working to improve our community. For example, we are almost done with replacing the roofs on every single building in order to repair damage done by the hurricane. Additionally, we are repairing a few of the stairwells, and are currently renovating all of our amenities! We do hope that you will enjoy these improvements to our community.

Throwback to when I told the staff here that one of my roommates came into my apartment at 2 in the morning screaming "I'm so mad, I could stab someone!", and basically said that they couldn't do anything. This was the same roommate that would sleep on the couch in the living-room without a shirt on. Once again, Northgate Lakes said they could only "... have a mediation". When asked if they could simply be put in a different apartment, they said I would still have to pay the $250 fee. Or when my a/c was broken for the first ... read more

Business response:

Hello Joshua, We are disappointed to learn that you had a negative experience with Northgate Lakes. As is our policy, we offered all roommates a mediation, which was refused. We also counseled all roommates to contact the police should they ever feel endangered, which was also refused. Additionally, we contacted the roommate of concern’s parents, to initiate a conversation. Lastly, according to our records, the A/C maintenance occurred two years ago, was finished in a timely manner, and has been resolved. If you have any ... read more

Pros: - they host events that enable you to potentially meet new people and eat free food. - a shuttle runs through the complex taking you to UCF. - right across from the stadium so you could walk to the football games and not have to worry about parking/traffic. Although, if you needed to leave for anywhere on a game day you could be screwed. -some of the staff are very nice and take special interest in being neighborly. Cons: -the amenities are all worn down and there is no plan to replace them anytime soon. -the price is ... read more
