The food they served the residents seems to be top notch. However, the residents are confined to chairs all day. My mother developed a deep curve in her neck/upper back from being curled up in a chair all day. The place often smells like urine and they promised me a monthly rate for a full year and then raised the rate without warning after only a few months which created an extreme hardship for my family. The Oaks looks great from the outside but it often did not have any activities, constantly had low staffing and the emergency buzzers residents wear and the ones in the room when pressed no one responded. When my mother needed memory care they didn't say anything because they didn't have room in their facility.

Everything was below average. They had a lot of turnover. No security. Lobby/Front desk wasnt always covered. They had people wandering into other peoples rooms late at night. Maintenance man was stealing from rooms. Staff wasn't very knowledgeable. Food was ok. Cleanliness was average. My mom wasn't doing very well and passed say in June. Not the Oaks fault. She was 94 years old. Overall I would rate them a 2 on your 1-5 scale. We were looking g for a place to move her too when she passed. Hope this helps steer people away ... read more

-The Staff turnover is a concern. -Agency Staff is sub-par , and unreliable. -Residents complain of hurried care.

Adequate, competent staffing would improve quality of care. Spoke with Wellness Director on two occasions. Bed sheets on bed for two weeks with urine stains not changed. Only time changed is when family and I change them. When washing clothes I assume everything is going in one wash wet pads and clothes. Everything reeks of urine. Laundry basket nor the last clothes washed ever returned back to room. Had to buy another basket. With no laundry basket clothes were piled up in room, for two weeks. Room smelled awful. They don’t take care of your family the right way they leave them unattended all the time switch staff to much not clean in rooms only keep outside looking clean late to giving meds let’s clients fall and they act like it didn’t happen horrible place

Oaks at Tucker only had 16 residents when we saw it.
Mom was there for a year and a half and the turn over was too much. They put other residents clothes on our mom without any explanation. We removed other residents items and still to no avail they were placed backed. They don't care for residents like they should. Rude and very unkind. Our mom was overmedicated, meds ordered without our consent or explanation. Jewelry stolen...just the worst. We removed our mom and she is doing great and thriving. PUT YOUR LOVE HERE ONLY IF YOU WANT THEM TO DIE

This community was not as clean and did not smell very good at all. It smelled like a hospital and just did not give us that feeling that we were looking for. The tour was great and they showed everything and made sure we had all of the information that we needed. Everyone was nice and things were great we just didn't get the right feel for it and my loved one liked another community.
