you can get some extra money, but be prepared to wait. this is my sixth donation and it takes 3+ hours usually. If you ask me the managers should help out, instead of just walking around or sitting in an office.
The payment system is horrible, you donate and it says your next visit is $65 then you login to application and it tells you your next visit is $55 even after you have reached the highest level. Then they change the loyalty system at the end of year and you miss out on all the years donations for the loyalty program...I hope a new donation center comes to town.
This is the worst managed Octapharma center I’ve ever been to! Today they have less than half the machines open and the wait for active donors is over 2 hours. The regular wait to even see a bed is over hour. I’ve never waited this long at any other Octapharma centers. I truly wish they would fix the issues of having such long waits but using less than half the machines. Hopefully BioLife opens in the Conroe/Woodlands area soon… they pay better and are better managed.
I’ve been in three times this past week, attempting to become a new donor, but each time I have been asked to come back the next day because the “dr” for the physical was not there. So this morning before I went in, I called their call center to make sure I could go in, I was informed that I can go in to become a new donor anytime before 4pm today. the sign in progress is overly slow and the staff are uninformative and unhelpful. during the physical the "Dr." asked about a scar. I explained I was in a car accident 5 years ago and have a metal plate to repair a shattered bone. then he ended the process and said I couldn't donate. there are no questions or info stating that the it should exclude me due to that. I think that should be more important info than CJD since medical hardware is super common and crutchfield Jacob disease only has around 1000case a year
they are disrespectful and it takes to long for no reason
First time visit/donation. Took over 4 hours and you can not leave. People, computers, systems all slow. Only reason I’ll be back is they are closest place that pays.
