I wasn't going to post this, even after speaking with the District Manager. But I'd feel more guilt if I didn't. the hard up-sell is quite accurate. Had a couple of friends here before in past year or so with pretty similar stories. but worse is that the discriminate LBGT or any other people they can see physically associated with it. ON 3 separate instances I was told my car couldn't be serviced because they were "missing the part". This place is a joke! Sold my girlfriend a coolant change when she didn't need one and extra $200! They take advantage of people who don't know about cars! I will never go back to this place!
I wanted to share that I had a great experience at Oilstop in SR yesterday. Super professional and for someone like me who is less than great about keeping up on things.. they made sure my tire pressure was perfect--it hadn't been. They checked all the fluids, they cleaned my window and changed the oil. Yes there is some up-selling but I didn't feel pressured. This place was awesome! Very friendly and helpful employees. Even though we came in about 15 minutes before they closed they still let us in and gave us beyond excellent service. We came in for a change oil and left with a clean car, pumped tires, and a new oil cap/drain plug for free.
I have becoming here's since I had my daughter because getting oil changes as a working mother is impossible. I usually have no problems they are quick efficient and kind. I could do without the upgrade pushes but other than that we love it. Until today. I pull up at 8:05 to get a quick oil change after dropping my daughter off at school before my work meeting and they were nowhere to be found. Unfortunately, the staff member, who was to open the store on the day your arrived, discovered he did not have the key and had to wait for the Manager to bring it. I moved here from the south, you know where southern hospitality is just a normality. It was a huge fear of mine that I would not experience the service I always had given to me in the south here in California. The first oil change experience I had here was terrible in San Francisco. But this place. My goodness, what a service! They gave me water waiting in the hot sun, cleaned my windows, were very polite, didn't force me to wear those stupid face masks either. This place is pretty awesome. I really don't like getting an oil change because of the unexpected expenses that seem to come up and long waits, but anyway, they get down to it here. On top of the oil change, I got my front and back windows cleaned and I enjoyed and ice cold sprite all while I sat in my car writing this review. The way they all talk to each other kept me entertained as well. They do offer quite a few recommendations but they don't mind if you turn them away. I'll be returning for sure.
