great food great service neat spot even with the homeless wandering san diego's gaslamp area
I took my sister here for her birthday when she was here for conference and we had an amazing dinner. Calamari - so fresh and not over fried or breaded, Caesar salad with perfect homemade dressing, lovely sea bass with lobster mashed potatoes and finally a wonderful tiramisu. Not one item was below perfect. Our wait staff was so nice and never rushed us knowing we wanted a leisurely meal. And to top it off we had a Markham Cab which was velvet! A splurge but we split a couple items so not too expensive.
The food was excellent - the antipasto was really superb. Good varietal menu with something for every taste. The service was quite outstanding - very friendly and helpful staff. The wine list was very good, including many affordable wines as well as some real gems (with a price to match).
Food was excellent. Price a little high, but the quality is what you pay for. Ambience was good and needed to be given the location. My opinion only - downtown has become run down and this place is on the outer edge of the Gaslamp and area is bordering rundown. I would definitely go back - but hope the city cleans up this area more.
Second time eating there, it will not be our last. Service is excellent, and the food delicious.
Mushroom caps stuffed with crab were only ok, but the two salads (bib lettuce with berries and blue cheese and tomato & buratta ) were really good. Lobster tortellini was really good and an ample serving. Sitting outside, it was really noisy due to music from the bar across the street.
The food was so good and being that it was Valentine’s day, the service was still amazing. Our server was very attentive and the food came out fast. Very nice experience.
I highly recommend this Italian Restaurant, if you happen to be at Downtown San Diego near the Gaslamp Quarter. Seafood was delicious 😋🤤. Tiramisu cake 😋 and cappuccino was really good.
Went for valentine's day. Meal was very expensive and not as good as we hoped. The lobster filled pasta was fishy and didn't have enough sauce. A group of 30 behind us was loud and very noisy. Just not conducive to a romantic evening. Our appetizer arrived and we had no silverware or napkins. Had to ask for them. Maybe it was the night. Who knows. Might try happy hour some time.
