Old Italian restaurant in the Gaslamp district of San Diego. Recommended highly by a hotel staff. We ate outside which was very pleasant on a beautiful night. Service was very good. We ordered Pasta Bolognese which was very bland and disappointing. Wine selection was very nice and the wait staff were friendly and accommodating.
Excellent food and service for sure. Great time. Had a very grand time downtown and enjoyed our dinner very much.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We started with ceasar salad and followed with Chilean Sea bass and lobster raviolis. Service was good and accommodating. We brought our dog as we sat on the outside patio. I’m unhappy about the additional service charges that are still being added to checks downtown. Not just here but most places unfortunately.
Absolutely loved coming here! I’d come here once before and was blown away by the quality of food and service that I knew I had to come back. The atmosphere was a 10/10 (the music really adds to the vibe). Like last time, my waitress was so nice and checked on our table multiple times throughout the night. She also gave us great recommendations on what to try from the menu. I can truly say that everything on the menu is so delicious and this restaurant is by far my favorite Italian place in San Diego!
My husband and I were in San Diego for the weekend to celebrate our anniversary. Osteria Panevino went out of their way to make us feel special. Our server (who is Italian and kindly indulged my mediocre Italian skills during the meal) helped us with food and drink recommendations and brought us a special tiramisu dessert with a candle. We had an outdoor table which made for a very romantic ambiance- it felt like sitting in a European streetside cafe! We will definitely return whenever we are in San Diego again!
Ottima cucina italiana. Da italiana trovare buon cibo in America è un’impresa, mentre qui è una garanzia. Il personale è tutto italiano e ci ha accolto con il sorriso e fatto gustare dei piatti deliziosi che sognavamo da settimane: pasta cotta al dente con ottimo sugo di pesce, del buon salmone e anche le verdure super saporite e ben cotte. Per non parlare del Tiramisù, davvero lodevole. Assolutamente consigliato.
Food was cold and lacking inspiration. Bread was tasty and server was nice. There’s better out there.
This should be on your list of places to try in the Gaslamp district. The Chicken Parmigiana, and Gnocchi were tremendous! Beautiful spot, great ambiance, great service. Highly recommended!
