Spectacular from the moment we entered to the moment we left. Wait staff was attentive, helpful and friendly.
Panevino was one of the first restaurants we visited when we first moved to SD over 30 years ago. Usually when we go to event downtown, we eat dinner here. It never disappoints. It is still owned by the same two guys from Sicily, so we always order a bottle of Sicilian wine since they have great ones. Service, as usual, was outstanding.
The restaurant’s saving grace is its staff who are excellent and attentive, particularly the hostess and our server. Unfortunately, the food is basically edible yet lacks consistency from a flavor profile, quality ingredients, and temperature perspective. We ate what was put in front of us because we were hungry. I suggest the owner and chef revamp the food offering completely.
A truly outstanding restaurant; some of the best Italian food I've ever eaten. The spare ribs ravioli is not to be missed! Lovely outdoor dining with outstanding and attentive service provided by Stefano and Sergio. When in San Diego, Osteria Panevino is a must.
We had a great dinner at Osteria Panevino. We started with the carpaccio. After that we had the Pappardelle with Ragu and a special with was lamb chops and mushroom risotto. We finished with the tiramisu. Everything was delicious. We enjoyed a nice bottle of wine with our dinner. The service was great. All of the staff are super enjoyable to interact with. We always have a great experience.
