Food and service was very good. We had a larger party and all the entrees were nice portions and nice looking.
The food and service were fantastic. This is our go-to place whenever we attend a concert at the Balboa Theater or the Civic Theater. We usually eat outside on the patio. However, the noise from the adjacent restaurants was so loud that I would no longer recommend sitting outside. We couldn't hear each other talk. So nothing against the restaurant, but the neighboring restaurants are party places. We were there at 5 pm on a Sunday, so I'll assume it's worse at other times. Wait staff was extremely attentive and friendly. Food was delicious, large portions.
We had a wonderful 30th wedding anniversary dinner at Osteria Panevino! The Gnocchi was divine and perfectly cooked. My husband had the Bolognese and savored every bite. We recently brought a customer for dinner. Unfortunately, the experience wasn’t ideal for a business meal. The restaurant had two very large parties that evening, and the noise level was so high that we could barely carry on a conversation at our table. It took quite a long time just to receive menus, as the servers were clearly overwhelmed by the larger groups and we felt like they forgot about us. We had to request menus. We found Osteria Panevino on line so we were taking a chance but it met all our hopes for a great birthday celebration! The service was great, food luscious! Wish we lived nearby so we could visit often!
Outstanding Italian restaurant! Had the seafood risotto and caprese. Service was friendly and professional. Highly recommended!
