Wonderful little Place. Our server/waiter was absolutely terrific. A lot of good things to say about the place. 
Our waiter was excellent. This place is upscale and authentic. Impress your friends-bring them here.
Good food and service. Restaurant including restroom could use a deep clean.
When we were walking past the restaurant we saw the trouble they were going to just making sure the table cloths were perfect. A good sign. We made a reservation and it just got better from there. Outstanding service and great knowledge. The food was wonderful and so was the wine chosen by our server. Incredible to see such dedication and we concluded this was one of our better experiences. So good we are going back.
The seafood pasta special with lobster was delicious.

Still the best restaurant downtown in our opinion. Exceptional service, great food, good value. They've opened up 5th Avenue to traffic, so it's a bit noisier when dining outside, but not too bad. The restaurant is fantastic despite being around some really loud obnoxious bars and hawkers on the way there. However, once inside or on the porch, you will have a fantastic experience. We will continue to eat here prior to concerts and shows at the Balboa and Civic Theaters.
last night my boyfriend and i the most amazing time at panevino with our server gioia! she was super attentive and always making sure we were happy and the little things were perfect. we decided to sit outside on the street which gave such an italian vibe (there were some homeless walking around which is inevitable). we started off with the stuffed mushrooms and THE BEST BREAD EVER! we also decided to split the lasanga and gnocchi which both were excellent and very filling. definitely will be back!
