Couldn't have asked for better to get away for a couple of days relax and de-stress. Not much but just a couple of small things.....tub bottom didn't seem sturdy and lighting was very dim, Husband is legally blind and really needed brighter lighting, Good location for sightseeing in the area. (Be sure to ask for the complimentary map in the office.) They upgraded us from 2 rooms to a 2 bed/2bath house with a porch swing and a gigantic sprawling gnarled old tree, hardwood floors, 3 TV's, convenient location. Was so thrilled t... read more
Charming Suite in a Charming Town Our room was close to the street so you did hear alot of car noise but we did sleep through the night. You knew when the town was coming to life when the cars and trucks rumbled by. I loved how big our room was. We stayed in D. And the French doors opened to a nice patio and the pool. It was nice to open the doors to a secure backyard to let our dogs out in the night.

Very nice motel near Main Street. Best recommendation is that WE WILL GO BACK THERE The original motel was built in 1940's as individual units surrounding a circular drive. Our unit was among those added later and access was down a side street. Very Clean. Our room was a king with kitchenette. Built in 1980's but remodeled. Breakfast was continental-style with hot/cold cereal, a wide variety of fresh pastries, orange juice, and a variety of coffee. Nice place off the beaten path. Staff was accomadating. Quiet.
Definitely going stay again! Everything! We had decided to go to Fredericksburg a day early and the cottage we had booked was overpriced and not available that night. So, we booked Peachtree Inn. Had we known about this gem, we would have just booked the whole weekend! Wonderful place to stay and the staff is so friendly!
Comfortable lodging with close proximity to Main St. Towels are somewhat thin. The inside of the cottages have been updated and are very roomy. You also have a coffee pot with real coffee mugs, TV, small table, couch, fridge and microwave. We loved the porch with the chairs to drink coffee in the morning. The AC was noisy but worked well. The wine and water on the table when we arrived was a nice touch. The breakfast included cereal, pastries, morning juices, milk, coffee, and hard boiled eggs.
Nice, unique property within walking distance of downtown. The only complaints I have are that the bedroom needs room-darkening curtains as the street lights kept it very light, even with the shades down and the curtains drawn and that road noise was an issue. Very unique property with character and charm. The "private" pool and outdoor fireplace were wonderful!
