Expected less document submittal being an existing customer. Seems like a lot of people involved. Wasn’t sure at times who my service rep was. I think we changed mid stream.
The beginning of the process was positive and lots of communication the after that I could not get through to anyone. And when I did speak to someone. No one could answer any questions. We starterd our loan process on July 28, 2020 and did not close for a refi until November 28,2020 and we are not new customers have been with penny Mac since 2009. Communications were poor. And really felt as we were not customers but a bother really. So sorry we didn’t look around for another mortgage company
1) I asked four times about the expiring rate lock w/o an answer. (PennyMac did pay for rate extensions, but it was never communicated so I stressed for three weeks about losing my rate.) 2) PennyMac asked me to get a payoff from my mortgage company. Then, *a week later*, PennyMac asked me to *also* get a payoff from my second mortgage company. Why wasn't that communicated at the same time? It needlessly added a week to my already-long process.
Website was not user friendly and my final closing documents regarding closing cost was completely different than the intial documents. Another noted frustration was calling and intermittently getting thru to the loan officer handling my loan.

I had a change in loan officer in the middle of process, and the closing team didn’t send loan doc to the notary before the scheduled appointment. One of my cases was supposed to close on 11/22, and I am still waiting to sign the document. Hopefully, I will be able to sign the loan doc on this Friday, 12/4, as scheduled.
PennyMac has always made my buying a house and refinancing very easy from the beginning. Everybody involved were very friendly, patient and cordial. Most importantly they made sure I received every benefit that I can get to make it less stressful for me to pay my mortgage. Thank you all. Lucky Alozie

Listen to what I stated about the solar lien. I clearly stated from day one that there was solar lien on the property. I clearly state the requirements to obtain a release. A week before closing I was contacted about the lien and the need for a release. WHY didn't anyone pay attention to my comments! You had all the information regarding how to obtain a release on day one.
