I didn’t hardly have to do anything at all, it was very easy even though I had no idea what I was doing because it was my first refinance (I’m 25). I thought that the refinance was overly expensive, however I’m ignorant of how much work and time goes into the process behind the scene. I didn’t like that the team was not aloud to recommend wether or not I should make my last payment coming up for the previous loan while in the process of closing. Personnel we’re prompt, professional and knowledgeable. They were very informative without being pushy or overbearing. Constant follow up provided if I missed a step; great service in all!
The third party vendor you use for the closings was not very professional and in our opinion not great to work with! We ran into more issues than one with them. For PennyMac itself, some individuals just don't return calls, which left us to reach out to many different departments before a question or issue could of gotten resolved!
My only suggestion would be to have a direct way to contact a specific loan processor. If I replied to emails from Ms. Herrmann I would often get responses from someone else on the team that may not be as familiar with our file. Aside from that minor suggestion, the process was great!
