Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Nice ambiance. Service was just ok. Meals were fine but fish over cooked. remarkable. A little disappointed as we had heard good things about the place. We might give it another try.
As always, our experience at PCG was awesome. Everything works there. My favorite place for a meal out.

The food and service were outstanding. Very low noise level that allowed one to have a conversation with the person sitting across from them. The Crispy Eggplant sandwich is AMAZING!
Phoenix City Grille is a great place for comfort food. There is something for everyone on the menu and is affordably priced. The service is sharp and attentive. As a New Yorker on vacation, I would definitely recommend the restaurant.
PCG has been one of our go-to neighborhood restaurants for a long time. Every business has its ups and downs over the years, but Sheldon and his staff seem to be firing on all cylinders right down. My wife says the Ramona Farms Super Foods salad is the best salad she's had all year (and she eats a lot of salads). I have never had a bad meal at Phoenix City Grille. The staff is well trained, the kitchen very efficient and the food always delicious
good food at a value price. A little too loud for my taste.
