Probably because of the old black-and-white photos of Phoenix that cover the walls or the ease with which the patrons settle in for a casual meal or a drink at the bar. Phoenix City Grille is a gem of a local restaurant....food is always good, service is above par, and value is solid. We had fish, a burger, the ribs and a shrimp salad at our table, and all dishes were delicious and presented beautifully. It's also a great lunch place - sit at a high top in the bar or get a table. It's all good! Parking can be a bit of a drag, but that is the only downside.

We had the best meal we’ve had in a long time. I had the Alaskan halibut, and it was excellent. My husband had a short rib and raved about it, the bread pudding, and the chocolate torte or divine.
