There were several different people who called us throughout the process (even more that emailed) and it was confusing to try and figure out who you needed to speak with at different parts of the process. When we worked with Porche, she seemed unorganized and several times said she would followup via email/phone and never did. We constantly had to call for updates and I think expectations and time lines could have been explained better. Roxanne was very helpful.

Communication with support staff could have been better. Things were changing and verbal communication would have been preferred. There were times when I was concerned about progress after supplying requested information and waiting to find out if what was supplied was correct and/or sufficient. Then had to wait several days to find out via Email.

We weren't given a chance between FHA or conventional. We were also not asked how much we wanted to put down, we would have done more.

Phyllis was fantastic. Debbie however, was a bit less than. She was very against us when we said we were having a pool put in. I understand she has her thoughts, but she came across as angry and negative. It was a bit of an overreaction to a common add-on. She said most people don't get pools there, when quite a few just in our neighborhood have them. She very much didn't want us to get one.

I actually had a good experience dealing with Phyllis. What soured my experience is that an underwriter miscalculated my income. This resulted in being told to pay down my car loan an additional 800$ to adjust my debt to income ratio to lower my mortgage insurance. After I paid it down, I was told the next day that this was an error by an underwriter and that my debt to income was fine. Buying and furnishing a new home is expensive for a young couple and this 800$ would have helped us a lot.

More communication with us being first home time buyers we felt we were constantly in the gray area. Maybe some follow up with new home owners checking in here and there to see how everything's going. We would have to call to check up on this item or this and would notice things weren't being communicated amongst team members. Attitude was great very nice but just the professionalism with getting the work done right is where we wasn't happy.
