I went to WellNow urgent care on 9-16-24. I am a senior citizen and I am on ********* I also have a supplement plan. The plans I have I dont pay anything out of pocket. No co-pay no deductible no out of pocket. The receptionist said I had to pay $40 for the visit. I was arguing with her that I dont have to pay anything. She said I would get a refund after insurance was billed. Just received an explanation of benefits from my secondary insurance which they billed. Wellnow very rude. Billed me by threatening me ( my first billing), if I don't pay will go to collections. When I called representative stated that's a general generated statement and nothing she can do about it. Threatening on the first billing is horrible and demeaning. I also overpaid my bill never got the over payment back so they are thieves too.
It seems I am not the only one who feel this company has predatory billing practices based on the other comments. My son, went to the urgent care and gave his debt card. We received a paper bill to our home which said due on receipt of the bill. We checked with our son and he said his debt card was not charged so we sent in the payment through the mail. I required stitches June 3rd paid the copay. I returned to have them removed on the 10th and was told to come back th 14th, the stitches needed more time. Now after multilple invoices and phone calls the invoices continue. **** W

My husband and I went to WellNow in a time of need to get tested for covid, strep, flu, etc. We were seen at the same time, by the same doctor, in the same exam room. My husband was on my insurance policy at the time. WellNow billed HIS visit through our insurance but not mine, so he owes much less than I do. Our visit was March 7, 2024 and I heard nothing until October 16, 2024 when suddenly my bill was URGENT?! There was an error in the bill I received. I have called multiple times and been put on indefinite hold - one time I waited more than an hour. I don't believe they will ever answer the phone. I think they hope people will just get tired of calling and pay the bill to protect their credit rating. This is completely unethical on the part of WellNow. I went here to get a TB skin test for work. I showed them my company's passport or how to send the bill to my employer. They didn't. I received a bill. I sent the billing department all the information on how to bill my employer. I just received another bill saying the payment is now past due. Every time I call the number on the bill, I wait for over an hour and then someone picks up and hangs up the phone. There seems to be no possible way to fix this issue. Horrible with customer service . You have to check in online and pay online . Which I didn’t mind . I’m not sure about a patient that does not have a smart phone . I knew my copay was not as much as they had on my online payment. I asked the receptionist about the cost and I felt like I was really bothering her .
