gets jammed too easily I replaced an older model Polaris pool cleaner with this item. On this new model, the diameter of the uptake orifice has been reduced significantly. It gets jammed with leaves or any other soft debris within about 10 minutes of working in a pool having just a moderate amount of leaf litter. The new orifice is so small I can not reach into it to clear the jam by hand. I have to get a screwdriver or other implement. And of course it comes with the zipper bag instead of Velcro, so that is already jamming.... read more
Love the Polaris 380 Love the Polaris 380 ! We purchased this as a replacement for the Polaris 380 we had. It worked everyday for 10 yrs! Yes, They do die..... Awesome little Robot. the Polaris 380 is an excellent pool cleaner and I hope to live until I ... I have had three Polaris 380s over the last 20 years. They are simple, repairable, durable and effective pool cleaners that seem to last almost 10 years with only minor maintenance. They are not inexpensive but what is? I got into trouble with my most recent one by inadvertently installing its "back up valve" backwards. No pictures in the instruction sheets showed which way to install it. Great pool sweep This is the third sweep we have used over the last 35 or so years. I bought this to replace one of the same brand and model. The parts needed for the old one were just too many. This unit worked great. I had forgotten how well they worked new. I will replace the hoses more frequently from now on.
Better than original that it replaced Had more quality attachments and components than the original Polaris did. Enjoy not having to vacuum leaves every day!
