A decent tool for the price. First, I bought mine through the local store rather than online and mine is white rather than blue like the picture. That said, it's a great machine that really saves me time. The negatives first, it has a tendency to turn left a lot so the cord will get twisted the longer you have it cleaning. My solution is just twist the cable to the left two times for every hour I have it clean before I hook the cable to the base unit on the cart and it balances out by the time it's finished. Best pool robot so far I just got my Polaris F9450 yesterday and I've gotta say, it's impressive. For several years I used a Dolphin Advantage and it did a pretty good job at cleaning the pool, but the bags were a mess to clean. This one is SO easy to clean and the top access makes the process much easier. I tried a Dolphin Nautilus earlier this year but had to return it because it kept getting hung up when it turned sideways on the pool wall. Does good job Doesn't climb steps but will walls. Does a good job on bottom and sides of pool. Easy to clean out and replace filter when dirty.
Good Robot! We ordered the Polaris 9550 pool cleaner after having an Aquabot T2 (which is also a good piece of equipment). We went with this model because of the remote control and good reviews from another web site. So far I really like this machine. Yes, it is largely plastic, but with a salt water pool, that's what I need. This is the easiest pool robot we have used in the 11 years of having a large, inground, fiber glass pool. Love it... I had a cheaper version of this cleaner and much smaller. This model is top notch and I just love it. Very easy to set up and had it working in the pool in less than 5 minutes. I love the program timer and how it cleans the bottom of the pool or bottom and sides. It cleans right up to the water line and now I do not have to scrub the sides all the time. robo worked robo arrived ahead of time. Easy to assemble caddy. Robot was already assembled and ready to go. It is heavy and may be to heavy for a delicate little ole woman to handle.. BUT, I dumped it in the water and it went right to work cleaning the bottom of the pool. Then I reset it to clean both the sides and the bottom. It has so far, exceeded my expectations.
Worth the Upgrage Purchase was an upgrade from our old cleaner, the F9450 is worth every penny. It cleans floor, walls and steps as advertised. Just gave me a lot more free time for the summer. I wouldn't worry about comments re: moving to fast to pick up all debris. It does move fast! that's the point, leave it alone and it will get everything in the pool!
