Polaris G52 Back-up Valve Assembly. This is a factory original Polaris replacement back up valve. It has a timer mechanism inside that diverts water out of a jet every 5-10 minutes. This jet acts as a back up, pulling the cleaner out from the pool floor or wall. There is an arrow on one side of the hose barb that should face towards the cleaner. Pleased with the Zodiac brand.. Perfect fit, we had a party at the house and some @$$-hole stepped on our valve on our pool sweeper. Retailer wanted a lot more than what i paid for. Took all of a 5mins to install and good as new
