Polaris G52 Back-up Valve Assembly. This is a factory original Polaris replacement back up valve. It has a timer mechanism inside that diverts water out of a jet every 5-10 minutes. This jet acts as a back up, pulling the cleaner out from the pool floor or wall. There is an arrow on one side of the hose barb that should face towards the cleaner. perfect replacement The valve of my backup-up nozzle was stuck "open" and my polaris wasn't working well. I bought this as a replacement and it appears to be an exact match for what I had before. Installation was easy and this one works perfectly, only "backing up" every few minutes. Now my polaris is hitting the entire pool.

Erratic Polaris? You probably have a worn out valve! Great replacement for OEM valve and much cheaper than at brand name pool stores. I love my Polaris 280 pool cleaner but after 7+ years of almost daily use, my Polaris didn't seem to be running properly anymore, often getting stuck and moving erratically. Great replacement valve Our valve had finally cracked which meant our little robot wasn't able to putz around and clean the pool...something I discovered after looking out our window to find our pool had turned green. This valve was over half the price of purchasing it at our local Leslie's Pool and has been working great ever since I installed it. Installation took under 10 minutes and it has been going for almost 6 months now!

Great! Works perfect! Easy to install with simple instructions. I prefer to shop local but this was 1/3 of the price at the local pool store. Can't justify the difference.
