Zodiac sand replacement To start with, the item was received when promised. It really does a good job picking up the fine dirt from the pool. My wife loves it, and since shes the one that takes care of the pool, I'm happy with that.
Nice filter It is a bit pricey but it does seem to do the job. Bring the price down a few dollars would give it another star
Another good buy This is an exact replacement for the Polaris 280 and is a fine mesh bag. The purchase price was about 35% less than what the pool supply stores wanted.
Polaris 280 Sand/Silt Bag Part that was delivered from Amazon.com was a genuine Polaris part for the 280 cleaner. Works great, just as described. Revised design is not as easy to get collected debris removed from bag but just a minor irritant. I preferred the previous design but I guess that is progress and/or cost control. Very happy with service and product.
Polaris 280 sand/silt filtration bag This bag has made a difference in the amount of dirt in our pool. It would be nice if the bag was zippered instead of Velcro, but it has made a noticeable difference.
Sand yes, silt, not so much I purchased this bag as a replacement for the standard bag that come with my Polaris 280 which I purhased in May 2012. While it does work better for sand, it doesn't work much better for fine silt material. It is a little smaller than the standard bag, but I expected this given it's purpose. It actually works fine for everyday use. If we have a storm and alot of leaves get in the pool, I can use the standard bag's larger capacity to handle that. LOVE IT This bag picks up everything on the bottom of my pool and it is the only bag I use now. The only thing I hat is it is velcro and I like the zipper better, less messy to clean out. So hopefully they start making these with zippers instead of velcro!!!
Pricy but very effective Very effective at removing sand and silt. It is a little more prone to punctures and pricy. The new snap to install design is very easy to use.
Bag is smaller than it used to be These Polaris bags are pricey. The one I replaced had a large zippered bag. This one has a velcro opening, and is much smaller. I don't think I will purchase any more of these, will look for something bigger with a zipper.
