Plug-and-Play pump Plug and play to replace my original P4B-60 which lasted about 5 years (seal on impeller housing failed and leaked into motor bearing). This new one looks like a more up-to-date design and has much better plumbing fittings than the old one. Noise is reasonable ... much better than the screaming of the old one because of the bad bearing. Electrical connections are the same ... comes set for 220 VAC operation but can be configured for 110.
Surprisingly Quiet.. We purchased this to replace the booster pump for our Polaris 280. It arrived a day earlier than we expected and was installed by my husband. I would recommend that you have previous electrical experience if you plan to install yourself; as this unit doesn't come with actual step by step wiring instructions. Good replacement for our seven year old leaking booster pump Our old PB4-60 started leaking at the shaft seal and since the motor was seven years old we decided replace the entire unit rather than try to fix the seal. The unit was delivered promptly and was a perfect match to the old fittings. It has been working well for a month so far.
