Nice Quiet Booster Pump I purchased this to replace an old worn out pump that was installed when my pool was built in 2002. My old pump made quite a but of noise, even when it was new. I received this pump and installed it myself, which probably voided my warranty, but I can't see paying some high priced pool boy to change it when installation was so simple. Quality with All parts required! The Polaris booster pump comes with all directions, is easy if you are replacing an older pump, and contains all the parts required. Although not clear on the box, it contains 4 connectors for the input and output flows along with the polaris heavy gauge tubing. Excellent product that even a novice can install. Fit perfect, works great After 15 years, this pool sweep booster bearing failed. The sound was terrible. Decided to replace the pump since my experience with the pool filter pump when replacing just bearings was is was only a short-lived solution. The price was right and my concern was installation since, although it was the same model, the design changed and the inlet and outlet were not in the exact same position. Quick delivery, good product The pump came in 3 days. It works great with my polaris. Wasn't too hard to install. I would reccomend this company based on my limited experience. I have only had the pump running daily for about a month and my pool is sparkling clean. Due to the short time I have owned it I didn't give it the 5th star.
Hooked up and running IT works great and was easy to install. Brought it work with the polaris 280 brough it on amazon. Great price compared to big box pool store prices. Helped me have a great stress free summer.
So quiet compared to the old pump I just wasted about $30 on seals and gaskets to deal with a leaking booster pump... and that only stopped about 80% of the leaking. And then the noise started.... like cats in a blender. The bearings were shot. I was quoted between $90-120 to repair the motor (which looked at least 10 yrs old), plus I was looking at having to replace the impeller and volute ($70 more). Forget about that! Polaris pump It was the same pump I had and installation was very quick because it hooked up the same. it is much quieter and seemed to be more efficient than the old one. Received it in just a couple of days, much quicker than the expected date.
