It does tons better than our old Polaris so we are using less chemicals than last summer! the only negative part is it doesn't do stairs well/at all. It will only do 1/2 of the bottom stair then go back down. My other complaint is with the design of the top/lid. Debris gets caught between the plastic and you can't get it out except for taking the screwdriver to it. Otherwise it's great! I've already referred my friends to it.
Overall it’s an excellent vacuum. The only thing I would add to it is the sweep tail similar to the Polaris 380. The sweep tail kicks up little particles that then get caught in the pool jets and get pushed to the skimmers. This vacuum only picks up what it drives over. I think it’s an excellent vacuum and the wall climbing capabilities are superb. Cleaning the debris out is very easy, too.
Great product. Does an awesome job cleaning not only the bottom but the sides as well... helps keep the algae down.
Pros: Great little machine. Does an excellent job cleaning the pool. Large capacity is very nice. Cons: it ha trouble dealing with steps. We have three steps into pool and the cleaner never seems to clean all three of them. Always seems to miss the middle level. Design issue: we find that debris collects under the rear edge between the clear plastic and the blue edge. The clear plastic is screwed to the blue edge but leaves a small gap that collects debris. The Quattro has been working super over the past few weeks. Easy to keep clean and does a great job of sweeping the bottom. Great product.
So far so good! We are loving our Polaris Quattro Sport Pool Cleaner!!!!! The only issue we have had is occasionally it gets stuck on the jets! We would highly recommend this and we researched thousands but you never know until you purchase!
I’ve had a Polaris 3900 Sport for years. It’s done a decent job, but I wanted better scrubbing of the walls and better wall climbing. This Quattro Sport exceeds my expectations...it climbs walls, I no longer see white clouds when I brush my walls, and I no longer notice my cleaner stuck in the same corner over and over (my pool has more corners than a normal pool). The Quattro 450 degree rotation guarantees the cleaner frees itself out of corners quickly.
It seems to "spit" more water out of the pool then my old 380. In addition the emptying of "diaper" is more time consuming the the old 380, and there are a lot of places where leaves get stuck between the parts of the removable "lid" that you take off to get to the "diaper". My wife indicated the the old 380 was more user friendly and I would have to agree. It does go up the walls well, as far as build quality and longevity that is still an unknown.
