We were provided an electric/motorized dolphin system from the pool company and it was awesome, until it wasn’t. I bought the Polaris Quattro to get away from the electric/motorized option. It cleans really good, but not as good as the dolphin did. After only about six months the connector from the hose to the Polaris broke. It was under warranty and I eventually received the piece. However, it took almost two months. I had nothing cleaning my pool during that time. I hope that this doesn’t continue to be a problem.

After purchasing two of these a year ago, here is my experience. One is cleaning a fiberglass pool. There are zero issues with this one. A big plus is that it completely removed brown metal stains (probably iron) that were on the walls for years. No mechanical breakdowns. The other is cleaning a 35,000 gallon in-ground pool. A friend of mine came by and checked my system out. He went directly to my Pool store Glazer pools Webster tx, and bought one! Fence guy came by to give me an estimate on some fencing work and ask What is that? he is headed to buy one. good product . I did have one issue with the drive mechanism but Glazer pools helped me out on it.

I had to have my original one replaced but since then it has been a great product. The first failed after a couple of months of use. It slowed down to the point it would just stay in one place all day.

Sometimes it does a great job on the pool. At other times, not so well, and there is really no rhyme or reason for the poor job. The hose attachment at the top of the unit broke off and had to be repaired, but was covered under warranty. We had to wait ten days for the part as they were not in stocck (this was before the COVID-19 pandemic). Regardless, we are 4 star happy with the unit.

Third Polaris cleaner we’ve had and the Quattro Sport is the best one that we’ve ever owned. Have an 18’ x 36’ in ground pool and we live where there are a lot of trees. It picks up 98% of everything in the pool. We Love it. Takes a lot out of pool maintenance.
