Just get this one... This is probably my 3rd Polaris. The last one that was the 8/900.00 model the I believe 3900 Sport. This is much cheaper and absolutely kicks ass!

Works great on leaves, not as well on dirt. Works better than advertised. Replaced a Kreepy with this because Kreepy had problems with leaves; this unit just eats 'em up.

Polaris Unit Does the Job This purchase was actually to replace a previous Polaris vac-sweep, and so I believe it says a lot that we were willing to spend the money on another one. The only complaint I have about the unit is that the hose winds around itself sometimes, especially when the weather is chilly, and sometimes even ties a knot in itself. We've tried putting the unit on the side of the pool for several hours with the hose stretched, but it made no difference. We've also cut some of the hose to reduce its length to ... read more
