I really like my 280 Polaris I really like my 280 Polaris! It does a great job of cleaning my pool without getting stuck on stairs. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the bag is designed so that it is difficult to really get all the dirt and leaves out of it especially in the corners. Otherwise it's a good investment.

Love it! Love it. Replaced a unit several years old and in poor condition. !DISCLAIMER! The condition of the old unit is completely the fault of the owner/operator who improperly stored the unit in the same container with chlorine and other chemicals! Don't do what I did!* I like that the new unit has a few improvements from the old, such as the filter bag is easier to remove/install, and the inline filter is neatly housed in a clear housing for quick visual inspection. The Polaris does a great job picking it all up I have a large oak tree over my unenclosed pool and get lots of leaves and pollen pods in the pool. The Polaris does a great job picking it all up. I run it at least an hour a day and leave it in the pool. After 3+ years no serious breakdowns. I have only had to replace the rubber on the tires and the wall pressure valve. The sponge tail scrubbers will wear out and have to be replaced periodically as well.

Works better than 3900 Bought his sweep due to some knucklehead stealing a Polaris 3900 out of my pool. The 3900 is supposed to be a better model and a lot more expensive. This sweep outperforms the 3900. My only complaint on this one is it seems to tangle itself from time to time in its own hose. Cleans the pool very well.
