It works mostly as expected but I can’t seem to figure out why the tail whips so hard that it sprays us in the face outside of the water. Our old one had an adjustable knob that controlled the water that came out of the tail, this one does not seem to adjust. It also seems to kind of want to stay in the deep end until people are in the water. People in the water seem to attract the ‘bob’ as we call it. He works though. That is why I bought another one.

Great design. Good product. There are probably millions of these in service in North America. I bought this Pool Sweeper by Polaris less than a year ago and have had no trouble with it at all.

This is our second Polaris 280. This first lasted over eight years, so we had no problem with replacing it with the same model. As expected,..it works as great as the first one!!! It stays in the pool and cleans a couple of hours each day with fail. Would highly recommend.

Very strong pickup which easily handles the large magnolia leaves as well as the sand particles. My only issues were the hose easily tangled which I fixed by adding two more swivels. I’m shallow water it tended to lay on its side and didn’t pickup anything. I fixed this by adding another float between the reverse valve and the device. It works great now and saves me so much work keeping the pool clean.
