I have been using the Polaris 280 for 2 weeks now and love the product. I did go on YouTube before installing to learn some tricks from other users to make it work better, like measuring the length of the hose and adding a simple clasp to not have the bag get stuck under the wheels. Works like a charm.
This is my 3rd Polaris. The product is good, but it is not always reliable. It gets stuck in corners, despite the backup valve. The new one doesn't get as tangled as its predecessor, presumably because the floats are new and the hose has been now been cut to size.

It keeps tying itself in knots
The perfect sweep for my pool. Does a great job picking up small debris to a 1” size rock!
It works mostly as expected but I can’t seem to figure out why the tail whips so hard that it sprays us in the face outside of the water. Our old one had an adjustable knob that controlled the water that came out of the tail, this one does not seem to adjust. It also seems to kind of want to stay in the deep end until people are in the water. People in the water seem to attract the ‘bob’ as we call it. He works though. That is why I bought another one.
Great design. Good product. There are probably millions of these in service in North America. I bought this Pool Sweeper by Polaris less than a year ago and have had no trouble with it at all.
This is our second Polaris 280. This first lasted over eight years, so we had no problem with replacing it with the same model. As expected,..it works as great as the first one!!! It stays in the pool and cleans a couple of hours each day with fail. Would highly recommend.
