Love the Zipper Idea BUT This is the first Polaris Cleaner bad I have ever purchased that had a zipper. All the others I have been using over the past 16 years had a velcro closure and the debri would get caught into the velcro and over time the velcro couldn't stick therefore everything that was vacuumed would end up falling back into the water. One trick I use on my cleaner bags is that I place a ladies size knee hi nylon stocking inside the bag. It traps the small dirt particles that fall through the mesh bag openings. Th... read more

Best all round It is the same as the one that came with my Polaris. Had to get a new one after the dog chewed the little snap-in plastic connectors off the original one while I had it swapped out with a leaf bag. This was about half the price It would cost at the local pool store. I would give it a 5 if the bag and the bag connector could be replaced separately (at half the price) in the case that one or the other is damaged. It has a zipper like the original, but no hose slider.

Wouldn't say that I NEEDED it, but it sure is nice to have! I am new to the polaris sweeper world. I just purchased a new home with a pool and the polaris was part of the deal. While reading online to figure out how to optimized the sweeper, I found out about this bag. I had the original bag with the velcro on it and hated how it got dirt in the velcro and would no longer seal appropriately. So I decided to try this bag out. It was a pleasant surprise. It works great, it seems to be just as efficient, and it is easier to emp... read more

Stick with Original Part vs. Buying a Generic Replacement Bag I've been burned before by purchasing a generic replacement bag, and I said never again. While they all (generic as well as OEM) will deteriorate over time, the Polaris-branded one seems to last a little longer but it is also the little things: you get a zippered bag that is a little more heavy duty vs. a velcro-type enclosure (which collects dirt, looks like crap after a while, and usually has a hard time staying closed after a few months of use).All-in-all, if y... read more

Polaris may not be better quality than generic replacements While Polaris cost has gone way up, quality has gone way down. I've had Polaris bags for my pool since 1994, that lasted for years--I had 3 I'd rotate: let debris dry, shake it out, and reattach. But they finally died this summer, so I ordered 2 new ones here. After only 3 weeks of use, the area in one where the velcro attaches to the bag (poorly sewn, so it's twisted), is weakening and will be a hole soon. Not happy.

Way over priced. Bag tears in less than one month. I've ordered this product twice and it's garbage. The bag tears in less than a month. Knock off brands work much better. Way over priced.

Only as good as the weakest link If you want these bags to last, before using, replace the cheap Velcro that fastens to the pressure line. The OEM Velcro will only last a month or so.

Higher price lower quality Do not buy this. Lasted a fraction of time compared to the much cheaper generics. Started fraying at the base almost immediately resulting in lost suction / debris getting stuck at the intake. Was way different and inferior than the oem that came with the cleaner.

Polaris all Purpose pool cleaner bag I purchased this in March 2010 There are a lot of trees near my pool and not having a specific leaf bag probably means that the standard bag gets a lot of extra strain during fall. The bag finally failed about June 2012Forgetting I had Amazon Prime I bought a replacement the same day at the local pool store and paid $18.00 more than the Amazon price, it is now mid December the new bag has begun to fail along the top seam and the zip jams shut, the only way to empty it is by shaking debris... read more
