Replacement Polaris All-Purpose Zippered Filter Bag Designed for use with Polaris 280 pool cleaners
Good product but come with hight cost. The mesh is fine enough to retain picked up sand and small grit. Bag is good quality but the week point is the velcro on top that keeps bag top attached to hose rider. This seems to always be the part that goes out first.
Fits my Polaris Vacumn This is a replacement for one that has seen its better day. They do wear out. I like the large-tooth zipper on the bag. It's easier to open and close compared to some of the fine-tooth models out there. Once debris gets inside the bag it can clog the zipper. Don't expect it to last a long time. I'm happy if I can get 2 or 3 years out of them.
Worth the cost I had a difficult time paying four times the amount, compared to other options available. I decided to take the risk because my pool was full of silt that I could not combat. I am pleasantly surprised to admit that this sweeper bag is great! It has a tighter weave and holds smaller particles, it's easier to clean and the zipper is superior to scrubbing out dirty velcro every day. 6 Months Later - Still Working Well! This bag has held up very well for the last 6 months including through tons of leaves and other items in the fall/winter months in Texas. My pool is always clean in the morning and the bag handles small particles and large leaves very well. One of my favorite features is the velcro strap. If secured tightly, it keeps the bag upright.
Good quality You get what you pay for. We bought some of the cheapie bags online and found that the Velcro failed in a few months. Its almost like that Velcro was not rated for under water.... These are much nicer and last much, much longer.
More durable than off-brand replacements I've tried a few off-brand replacements but none seem to last as long as the Polaris. Also, I had problems with the zipper getting jammed on the off-brand ones but not with the Polaris. I do feel that sometimes off-brand can be a good value but in this case paying a bit more for the Polaris seems worth it.
Need the real deal Last year I purchased generic bag for my Polaris 280--I forget which brand--they were half the price of the "Polaris" bag--but what a pain--just don't seem to connect correctly to the housing--either they don't hold tight or they hold too tight and you can't get them off--now there might be generic ones that do work fine--but for me--I'll pony up the extra $10 bucks and get the real thing--after another frustrating bout with the generic--couldn't get it to attach securely --I slipped on the new bag and Voi... read more
Faulty product I bought name brand as they generally stand behind their products. I contacted Polaris directly, but they did not respond. The first time I emptied the bag, the zipper pull came off completely. I was able to reattach the zipper pull, so it "works" but I have to be careful not to unzip all the way or the pull comes off. You Get What You Pay For... (1 Year Update) Save yourself a lot of money, time, and grief. Buy this original OEM Polaris Zipper Replacement Bag. Yes, it is more expensive than the cheap knock-offs, but it is half the price that you will pay at your pool supplier. AND this bag is flawless. You will spend more money and time on the cheaper bags.
