This was the first time at the Portico Restaurant, but it won't be the last! The food was delicious! Great menu selection so it was hard to choose what entry to order. While waiting for our order a variety of bread was served with a nice dipping sauce. Our beautiful presentation of entree arrived & couldn't wait to "dig in". Food was superb, actually just as I thought it might be. Kudos to the chef!!!!!

Pretty awesome specialty cocktail list. I enjoyed the Amaro Smash and my girlfriend had The One with Tequila. Both delicious. Draft beer selection supported local crafts breweries but there are definitely much better options than what they offered. And Buffalo isn't that local to Waterloo. The food was excellent with generous portions but the plate presentation on most of the dishes were lack luster given the price of the meal. Our server was very knowledgeable and professional. Our experience at Portico was better than I even imagined. From the smiling service to the most fantastic Brussel sprouts I have ever tasted, everything was divine. I had the wedge salad and it was scrumptious. We ordered the potato skins and they were like non other & oh you have to try the side of potatoes. You will be so glad you did. I'm a small plate person and loved that we were able to actually have doggie boxes as there was more than enough food to go around among 4 hungry eaters. Chef loves his job and it shows. We chose this restaurant for a special Father's Day treat and really enjoyed it. Appetizers and sides were quite large and our duck/lamb entrees were cooked perfectly. We loved the charred octopus! Too full for dessert but the choices looked very enticing. Service was excellent as well. Comfortable seating, but tables perhaps a bit too close for comfort would be my only negative comment. Nonetheless, we would definitely come back again.

Amazing!! We came late, but they were still happy to seat us. Roland is the BEST waiter ever. Our girls night was a success!! Food was amazing

Our first visit to Portico was a very good experience. we went to celebrate my wife's birthday. The food was excellent in taste and presentation. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. The clams and mussels appetizer was phenomenal! So was the drunken pear salad with cheese and candied walnuts - light and tasty. We had the Duck and Tuna dishes as the main course. We will definitely go back again.
