My third birthday I’ve spent with Portico but this is the first time my bill had gratuity that was added on just for 2 people. I was very disappointed in that and to add over 20% to a bill for service if 2 people was outrageous. You already raised the prices which I don’t mind but I thought you only add the tip to the bill for big tables. We didn’t see our server enough for over 20%. Delicious food and outstanding service!
The food was delicious. Service was prompt and polite.
We enjoyed the wonderful service and our server chose our delightful wine choices. The special was a NY Strip and was delicious albeit a little fatty but there was plenty to fill us up. We'll definitely be back.
Calamari was hot and delicious with the lemon aioli My husband’s pork chop was tough though we were in a rush so he didn’t complain. My salmon was the best salmon I have ever eaten. Loved the corn succotash. The mashed potato was very bland. Spruced it up with butter salt and pepper. Service was efficient but not overly warm and welcoming. Loved the atmosphere. Wine list was extremely short-four reds two of them merlot. Overall B experience.
Portico is a wonderful choice for relaxed yet fine dining. We stayed at del Lago so it was so convenient to have an upscale restaurant right there to celebrate a birthday. My guest ordered a 5oz filet mignon & a side called loaded potato casserole. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly to her liking and commented how it melted in her mouth. The sauce for the Fruit de Mer was not as expected, and the dinner was not hot when served. The Chicken Thigh Marsala was also not hot when served. One piece of meat was too tough to even eat, and the other piece did not taste at all like thigh meat. Very disappointing. Our two friends both enjoyed the Pork Chop dinner, which we now wish we had ordered. Service at the bar was very friendly.
Everything is great except the noise (Music) level. Hard to have a quiet conversation.
