I'm adding my daily update. I've had a few people reach out in response to this so I'm just gonna keep updating here. I am now 8 and a half months since I notified pls rents that my air-conditioning unit is broken. I live in the third floor, work from home and have chronic illness. I have not had Air-conditioning since last summer. I am very ill, live in a third floor apartment and have been denied/refused a/c. I pay $1200 a month. It's maddening. I will need to check into a hotel. This is my last summer here but the third if fourth where they refuse to fix my air conditioning. They retaliate against negative reviews and are criminals. PLS: you should Probably Lease Somewhere else because they are Predisposed to Letting you Suffer. They Predominantly Lack Sympathy and don't care if they Permanently Let you Suffer. You don't need heat or air-conditioning if you have windows you can open, If something is broken, they might get around to it in a few months, if they like you. If not, you're on your own. Hi Luke, It is actually very hard to remove bad reviews, and we don’t… as any business knows, nobody, including PLS, is perfect. We have received several AC calls during the past few days, and we have actually brought in an additional 3rd party vendor to address the recent calls. Currently we have 2 in house HVAC technicians and 2 3rd party vendors working hard to service our residents. Waiting on parts, install dates (that can be 2 -3 weeks out), is something that is beyond our control. We also do not own, just manage for t... read more
I m a newer resident, but my neighbors have me concerned and not likely to renew my lease. First off, no one maintains the grounds and there is garbage everywhere, all the time. The majority of my neighbors that I have spoken with, have had bad experiences with the "landlords" here. Being talked down to is a big concern with many citing rude behavior when speaking with staff. PLD has two stars on most sites but this one they must have paid a company to give them positive reviews. Check YELP if you want to real story of uncaring, Incompetent liars that this comp truly is. I am embarrassed to live here. When I tell people that I don't have air-conditioning the third year that I have lived here and that I have notified them of this seven months ago, I am legitimately embarrassed. I live here to help my Dad and he is a man in his 80s who they told to "open his windows"
I have not had Air conditioning for the better part of the year. PLS says to "open my windows" This is my third summer that I am going into without A/C. They do NOT uphold their end of the lease I highly recommend not renting through PLS
One star is too high of a review but it won't let me give negative stars or I would. If you want heat or air-conditioning rent somewhere else. My apt is on the top floor and currently 80 degrees. No air-conditioning since last summer when they refused, actually refused to fix it. Now they won't even respond to my emails if calls. I'm writing into the better business bureau with a few of my neighbors. Slums
