I must start by saying that I do not think Provision is a one star restaurant by any means, but I believe this is the best way to get the message to Cunningham Corporate. We went specifically to sample the renowned hamburger only to find they changed the recipe. If The burger was just average. If iits not broke, don’t fix it.

My family is GF and the serving staff served non GF items after being notified in advance. Provisions is on my regular dinner list. I am worried they are riding on past reputation. And hope this was a one-off. Have enjoyed in the past.
We usually have a wonderful experience at Provision. Understanding that it was Christmas Eve, we were settled in for a leisurely dinner. However, it took 1 hour for our first course (we did the tasting menu) to arrive at our table. We were there for 3 1/2 hours, which was much longer than usual or expected. The restaurant was busy but not packed. The food quality was good when we are used to outstanding at Provision. I felt that the menu is very expensive for what you get. It feels like you’re paying London or New York pricing for average food. We came as a family on Christmas Eve, and left feeling that every opportunity there was an attempt to upsell whether it was the number of shrimp on the plate or adding a salad at $17 to an already $56 steak.
