Always a great spot for a relaxing evening. Parking is still a major problem here. The bourbon prices are out of control. 300-450% markup on bourbon makes me not want to come here. People complain about 200% markup on wine, but this is robbery. A double Buffalo trace costs more than the entire bottle.

Long time customer of Provision… we hosted out of town guests and both the quality of the food and service level were well below all prior experiences. We are so hopeful that last night’s experience was an anomaly.

They could not prepare a NY Strip medium after 3 tries. Although every one else’s meal was fine and the Strip was comped it doesn’t make up for 1 member of the party having no main dish through most of the meal. After the 3rd try still left some of the steak rare, he ate the part of it that was cooked correctly and left over the rest. None of us were able to relax and enjoy our dinner. The reservation seating was 40 min post reservation time. We got shoved to the tsbkd by the bathrooms with no apologies. Definitely didn't with the money dinner had cost

It is tacky when a restaurant that purports to provide an elevated culinary experience in the form of a chef’s tasting menu accepts reservations (in this case) until 9:00 (we arrived at 8:45) but hard closes the kitchen at 9:30; the website claims a 10:00 close on Monday. We were in town for business had late meetings and were looking for something special. I suspect my first mistake was expecting to find something culinarily interesting in Indianapolis. We were greeted by a young man, who wasn’t very personable, but saddest at our table quickly. Our wait team was really kind, professional, and knowledgeable. (Shout out to Michael) We started with a “ shareable” dish, which was actually NOT shareable. We ordered the charred shrimp but only four shrimp were in this appetizer. I wanted to love Provision. Unfortunately, the food was just average and the service started adequately and then absolutely disappeared as the evening went on. This was an average dining experience at a price point that made it not a good value. . So disappointed; I would not return.

Our servers were young and felt nervous. One helper didn’t speak a word! The mushroom tart was amazing but the oysters on the half shell disappointed. My wife’s steak entree was really flavorful. My entree was excellent as well. Dessert was average: cheesecake good, peanut butter bomb was less so. The bartenders were pouring heavy! Overall not the experience you expect at those prices.
