If you want to use 18 mm label tape this is not the label maker you should purchase. I purchased this for home use in my sewing room. I have one at work which is an older model and is pretty straight forward to use. This newer model is initially rather difficult to use but eventually you will be able to figure it out. My one complaint is the widest tape you can use with this label maker is 12mm. Good but for low budget This was a perfect fit for me ! It was easy to figure out , easy to load , and the print was easy to read! The only complaint is that it is a little difficult to separate the backing from the label itself , nothing I can’t live with

Killer!!!! When I was shopping for a label maker I am so old that I was looking for the old style Dymo makers they used to have. I saw this and did some research on it. I LOVE IT!!!!! I labeled my switch panel on my 81 Jeep CJ7, my tool box, my wife's jars and a bunch of other stuff. In fact my wife says I am kinda obsessed! Now the tape that comes with it is white, which isn't my first choice in colors and it isn't very long. The batteries last only a little longer than the original tape.
