too complicated Way to complicated, plus owners manual print too small to make it useful without a magnifying glass,,,terrible. If owners manual print was large enough to read it would probably be a pleasure to try to learn to use the device, but.............well you know the rest!
Label Jammer Unit continued to jam the labels when cartridge is first inserted.
cost labels are too expensive..no wonder the maker is so cheep
brother label maker PUrchased this recently it is a little more complicated than the hand held one I have used in the past. I haven't had a lot of time to really read up on all that is is capable of doing for me, I hope I can use it freely like I had done with the hand held. The reason I purchased it was my hand held suddenly started printing everything backwards. The store looked at it and couldn't figure it out. So I decided to get another one. the one I had been using is no longer available so I went wwith this one.
Would prefer more user friendly unit Not easy to change label lengths and font sizes. Instructions could be better.
Do not buy this tape macine I used to be a big fan of Brother equipment. After buying the PT-D400, I've changed my opinion. This machine is not easy to figure out The tape cost as much as the machine. Main concern is waste. Tape is wasted at print time (about 1 inch). This equates to a lot of lost tape with each print. In addition, the LED display is not easy to read (very light). I used to really like Brother equipment - now, not so much. ! star is too high a rating.
Brother PT-D400 Label Maker by Brother I returned the Brother PT-D400 Label Maker by Brother. I really had nice features at was an upgrade to my current Brother labeler. But it jammed on every attempt to use. It appears just to have been a defective unit. I owned many Brother labeler that have been perfect. I did have some Brother TZ labels left from my existing labeler but they were not compatable with this model. Based on the problems with this unit and the ability to reuse my current TZ labels, I made the decision to retu... read more
Fooey! My old Brother label maker (P-touch 1810) is no longer reliably supported with label tape. Bought the PT-D400. User manual is virtually worthless. Font is miniscule and so faint I was unable to read directions even with a magnifying glass. I returned it, and am unlikely to buy another Brother product.
Not so Friendly Although this PT-D400 has great features the instructions are not easy to follow or very clear by the time you figure it out you've wasted a good bit of label tape. In addition the irony of having to purchase the adapter separately does not make this such a great bargain after all. After re-looking into other options available I may make another purchase and gift this model to a younger person who was able to tool me around and get it working.
PT-D400 has a 4.5 star rating with 1,636 reviews.
PT-D400 is open now. It will close at 6:00 p.m.
