Does not trim label to fit text - Impossible to know feature matrix Not sure why some brother ptouch label makers do this and some do not, but this one does not have a setting to enable it. Do not buy if you value your time. I wish they had way fewer models with clear sets of easy to distinguish features. I always feel like I'm playing label maker roulette buying these things.
Doesn't work with USB 3 Won't work with USB 3, driver can't be found. Must use USB 2.0 port Windows tells me. My computer doesn't have any accessible USB 2 ports. Beware...

Great label maker but will not work with any of my computers. Very great label maker but the case is way to bulky which defeates the purpose of why I purchased it. I have to put it into another container to take it back and forth to work. But the biggest problem is that it does not work with any computer I have tried it with. I try to download everything the site says but I keep getting the error message saying no internet connection but I am clearly hooked up to the internet to even be on their page. JAMS CONSTANTLY This printer jams all the time and forces you to waste more label tape to undo the jam.
Don't buy it. Not user friendly, impossible to use, very poor instructions. I don't see how other people can give it good reviews, their very dishonest!
A true MISS for Brother. I have to be serious here. After reading so many glowing reviews I felt certain this would be an item I could use forever. Boy was I wrong. While the setup was easy enough, the following were too big a problem to even contemplate keeping this item. 1- tape is too damn expensive! 2- as others have noted it wastes a lot of tape with no real opportunity to cut the margins close 3- the keyboard was too tight and I found myself having to retype too much. 4- the max font for each size tape is TOO SMALL! DO NOT BUY BROTHER - CANNOT USE OLD TAPES I will never buy another Brother product. the change from TZ to TZe preventing the use of our old printers is total BS
Incompatible with TZ cartridges No mention that this machine will only take the TZe cartridges and not the standard TZ cartridges. I am left with 9 unusable cartridges. This certainly should have been mentioned in the description!
