At first I was disappointed when I thought I could not install it on ... Great once you get it to work Some difficulties had to contact brother to use full capabilities on Mac have to turn off polite button to get it to recognize drivers

Great Labels - No Linux Drivers The description reads "For PC and MAC" and you can believe that. Like it or not, a great deal of Brother Printer sales can be attributed to: 1. Good Value, and 2. Linux Operating System Compatibility. Linux users rewarded Brother for supporting, "Something Other" than Windows and MacOS. I am not sure if there is a new new division of Brother, managed by executives in the USA, but for some reason, this Label Printer has no Linux support, or Linux firmware. Had to be a little creative to not waste print tape I think it doesn't do half cut on the initial white tab..I might be wrong. This is a very cost effective label printer though. I've used the giant orange hand held and found that it's rocket science to get that big thing to print it the way you want. If you're going to spend that much time, this cheaper computer connected printer will do the same.
